Description

Smokey's ideal home

Smokey is an adorable little 2 year old Bulldog cross who is hoping to find his forever loving home. He's come to us with very little previous history and as he was quite underweight he likely hasn't had the best start in life. He's hoping to find a home who can show him how wonderful life can be and introduce him to all the home comforts he deserves. Smokey can sometimes get a little overwhelmed and over excited so would like a home with older teenagers of 14+ who can understand his worries. He could potentially live with a calm and polite doggy friend in his forever home following a meeting here at the centre. Smokey has been around cats before, so could potentially live with one again providing that they are calm and dog savvy as he can be a worried soul. Smokey loves fuss and attention from his trusted friends and enjoys a tasty treat for a very fabulous sit he will show off!

Could you be Smokey's perfect match?

Smokey needs adopters who are able to continue his training in areas such as confidence building, housetraining and learning how to be left alone. He's a super sweet boy who loves to get out and about to explore and play and will make a wonderful companion for the right family.

Bulldog Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a English Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
