Description

Maggie's ideal home

Maggie is looking for a loving and engaging home with adopters who will take her on fun adventures and will play with and train her. She can live with children aged 14 and over who can read when she is uncomfortable, and can give her space to rest when needed. Maggie could live with another lightly playful and friendly dog that lets her introduce herself at her pace, or a dog that will happy co-exist with her, she cannot live with cats or other small furries. She would be happy with friendly walking buddies. Maggie has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “Sit” and “Paw”, she would be happy to learn fun new things in short and sweet sessions as long as a toy is on offer. Maggie is housetrained but may need a refresher in her new home so a private, secure garden is needed. Maggie is a little worried being left alone, so is looking for an adopter who is home the majority of the time and can keep her company and make her feel safe, with the potential to build up leaving after she has settled in. Maggie will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Maggie's perfect match?

Cute and wiggly Maggie is a 1 year old Bulldog who loves to explore the world and make new friends along the way. Maggie is a great lover of toys, she will play with a ragger inside, but her favourite is a ball, she will chase it all around, she doesn’t always bring it back. She likes a gentle fuss and to lean next to you on the sofa, when she is done she will head off for an explore and a sniff. This lady loves a treat and will take them gently from the hand. Maggie is looking for her new family right now, could it be you?

Bulldog Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a English Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
