Description

Frank's ideal home

Frank is looking for a home where any children resident or visiting are over the age of 16, and he will need to be the only dog at home. He is house trained and can be left alone at home for up to three to four hours once he has settled in, but will struggle if left longer. He is better suited to a home with multiple occupants so he has people with him most of the day.

Could you be Frank's perfect match?

Sweet blue eyed boy Frank was not coping well with being left alone for long periods in his last home or with the upheaval of renovations happening around him, but has managed to settle into kennels very well. He can usually be found chilling out in the comfort of his kennel, or wandering about enjoying all the new smells to be explored on site. He walks nicely on his lead but can put the brakes on if he doesn't want to go in the direction you are taking him and can be strong if there is something that has really caught his interest and he wants to see. Frank did show some challenging behaviour around visitors to his last home so will need patient owners willing to work on his training. He can be pushy for food and can be humpy when frustrated. Frank is a clever lad and already knows basic commands and responds well to his name, but would benefit from continued learning in his new home to help provide him with some mental stimulation. Frank is used to travelling in the car, and does so happily, although he does need a little help getting in due to his little legs! He likes to walk with other dogs but can be possessive around some things, so he's best suited to being the only dog, but with a wide circle of friends to socialise with.

Bulldog Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a English Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
