Description

Woody's ideal home

Woody is a handsome, chunky three-year-old Pocket Bully. He is a sweet natured boy who can share his home with teenage children. He is looking to be the only dog in the home and a home without cats or small furries. He is social with other dogs when out and about and would benefit from having doggie friends. Woody travels well in the car and he is housetrained. He could cope with either a quiet or reasonably busy home environment. He has good history of settling well in a home, and history of being okay to be left alone for a few hours, this is best built up gradually. Woody has some breed-related medical issues that will need monitoring as he gets older and these will be discussed with you during the rehoming process. Woody's height is below the threshold required for him to be considered an American Bully XL type.

Could you be Woody's perfect match?

He is a fun-loving, affectionate goof-ball! He is instantly friendly with new people, he likes to be made a fuss of and adores snuggles. He dotes on human companionship and likes to be a couch-potato. He is also full of life and up for playing and having fun. Woody enjoys playing with toys. He loves his food and treats. He is a clever boy who loves learning, engaging his brain, and showing off his skills; he knows a 'sit', 'paw', 'wait', and he knows how to walk nicely on his lead (loose lead walking). He enjoys jumping in the car to go off for walks. He likes to paddle in water, and he doesn’t mind muddy walks! Most of the time he plods along on his lead enjoying a sniff, however he can be strong on his lead if there is a distraction. Woody likes to meet and greet other dogs, he is friendly and has a number of walking buddies here at the rehoming centre, although he can stare intensely at dogs he doesn't know. He is brilliant at responding to his name and will switch his gaze to you for a treat. Woody has so much love to give to his forever family.

Bulldog Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a English Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
